Job Title: X-Ray Technician
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11234
Duration: 3-Month Contract (Potential for Extension)
Shift: 40 Hours/Week, 8-Hour Shifts
Two overnights required:
Sunday into Monday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Monday into Tuesday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Three additional shifts: Flexible (mid-shift or evening)
Pay Rate: $61–$62/hour (W2)
Job Overview:A reputable healthcare facility in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a certified X-Ray Technician for a full-time contract position. This role involves performing high-quality diagnostic radiologic exams, ensuring patient safety, and supporting the clinical team with professional imaging services.
Responsibilities:Establish rapport with patients to understand and meet service needs.
Prepare and position patients for radiologic procedures using proper techniques and safety protocols.
Minimize radiation exposure by using protective equipment and beam restriction methods.
Produce quality diagnostic images by following standardized procedures and adjusting as necessary.
Maintain accurate patient records, including documentation of procedures and image verification.
Perform preventive maintenance on imaging equipment and assist in evaluating new tools or techniques.
Monitor and manage radiology inventory levels.
Comply with infection control, safety, and regulatory procedures.
Stay current with continuing medical education (CME) and professional development requirements.
Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
Certification:
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
Valid Radiology Technologist License (NY)
Demonstrated skills in diagnostic procedures and patient care
Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities
