The Volunteer Coordinator supports the operations of the FiftyForward Fresh program by recruiting, coordinating, and recognizing volunteers aged 50 and olderwho deliver meals to homebound seniors. This role works closely with the Meals Outreach Manager to ensure timely, compassionate service and a positive volunteer experience while maintaining accurate records and supporting administrative functions.
Recruit, support, and managea volunteer team of approximately 100 individuals delivering meals to 90+ clients Monday through Friday.
Focus on engaging RSVP-enrolled volunteers aged 50 and older.
Maintain accurate volunteer records and submit monthly reportson volunteer hours, route updates, and special delivery events.
Act as a liaison with the RSVP program, handling volunteer-related administrative needs.
Coordinate special events, such as holiday meal deliveries.
Participate as a flexible and collaborative team member, willing to take on additional tasks as needed to support program operations.
High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of one year of experience in volunteer coordination or a related field.
Experience working with older adults is a plus.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational skillswith attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and standard office tools.
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds; frequent walking, standing, and stair climbing required.
Valid Tennessee driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto liability insurance.
