Job Description

We are seeking a creative, data-driven, and execution-oriented Social Channel Manager for Reddit to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our brand's presence and engagement on Reddit, building community relationships, operating both branded and non-branded community presences , increasing brand visibility, and driving traffic and conversions through strategic content, discussions, and advertising.

As a Reddit expert, you will understand how to navigate the platform’s unique culture and guidelines to engage audiences while aligning with the company’s broader marketing goals. You must be comfortable not only designing strategy but also personally posting, seeding, and engaging within communities to influence conversations that impact brand reputation and visibility.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Development & Execution

• Develop and execute a comprehensive Reddit strategy aligned with overall social media and brand objectives.
• Identify key subreddits, communities, and conversations relevant to the brand’s target audience.
• Establish KPIs and goals for Reddit engagement, traffic, conversions, and SERP impact.

Content Creation & Management

• Craft engaging, relevant, and authentic content tailored for Reddit communities.
• Monitor trending topics and discussions on Reddit to proactively participate in conversations and seed positive narratives that support the brand.
• Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to repurpose content for Reddit and share original, platform-specific content.

Community Engagement & Moderation

• Actively engage with Reddit users through comments, posts, and discussions, fostering positive relationships within communities.
• Leverage both official and unofficial personas to participate in discussions in ways that feel organic and credible.
• Manage and moderate the brand’s own subreddit (if applicable) to grow an active and loyal community.

Brand Reputation Management

• Monitor brand mentions and sentiment across Reddit, addressing potential concerns and providing real-time feedback to relevant teams.
• Proactively create and amplify positive discussions that influence organic search and emerging AI results.
• Mitigate any negative press or community backlash by providing thoughtful and authentic communication.

Performance Analysis & Reporting

• Track and analyze Reddit performance metrics, including engagement, reach, traffic, conversions, and search visibility.
• Provide regular reports on Reddit activity, offering insights and recommendations for optimization.
• Adjust strategy and tactics based on performance data and community feedback.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work

• Collaborate with product teams, customer service, and other departments to ensure alignment of messaging and responses on Reddit.
• Work with influencers, community moderators, and power users on Reddit to build meaningful partnerships.
• Coordinate with the advertising team to implement and optimize Reddit Ads and sponsored content campaigns.

Compliance & Platform Best Practices

• Ensure compliance with Reddit’s guidelines, rules, and subreddit-specific protocols.
• Stay updated on the latest Reddit features, trends, and tools.
• Balance creative community tactics with strong judgment to avoid actions that could risk reputation.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Experience: 2-4 years of social media management, digital marketing, or community management, with a strong focus on Reddit.
• Platform Expertise: Deep understanding of Reddit’s ecosystem, including its communities, culture, and best practices for both organic and paid engagement.
• Execution Skills: Proven ability to post, seed, and manage multiple personas/accounts to shape conversations authentically.
• Analytical Mindset: Comfortable with performance metrics (engagement rates, SERP visibility, conversions) and using data to iterate.
• Community Building: Track record of fostering positive community interactions and growth.
• Communication: Excellent written/verbal skills with ability to sound natural across different community voices.
• Problem Solving: Ability to handle negative feedback or challenging situations calmly and effectively.
• Collaboration: Works well across teams and functions.
• Adaptability: Thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with no fixed playbook.

Preferred

Qualifications

• Experience managing both official and unofficial community accounts.
• Background in crypto, gaming, fintech, or other industries where growth hacking and multi-account management are common.
• Knowledge of Reddit advertising tools and sponsored content.
• Familiarity with SEO and the role forums play in influencing organic search visibility.

We are proudly offering hybrid options in the Phoenix, AZ metro market as well in San Mateo, CA. This role can be hired remote in TX, NV, WA, FL, UT, IL 

Hourly Range : $120,000 to $135,000 + bonus + benefits. This information represents the expected salary range for this role. Should we decide to make an offer for employment, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
