Job Description

Salary: $67,500 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

  • To excel in the role of Sr. Analyst, AML Model Developer, I seek an individual who can perform essential duties effectively. The candidate must fit the following criteria:
  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field is required. A Master's Degree in one of these disciplines is preferred.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of 3 years in Risk Management, Risk Modeling, or AML is necessary, with at least 2 years in Analytics or Modeling.
  • Licenses/Certification: Familiarity with tools such as Python, MS 360, SAS, Oracle, or similar is preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities:
  • - Possess a robust understanding of financial data structures and behavior across various settings.
  • - Show proficiency in data querying languages and software.
  • - Have substantial experience in Python, SAS, SQL, and model development within cloud environments.
  • - Familiarity with scheduling and automation tools is favorable.
  • - Display strong quantitative and analytical skills, as well as critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • - Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, fostering relationships and exhibiting strong organizational skills.
  • - Analyze risks and offer recommendations to reduce exposure, while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • - Adapt to project demands and keep current with industry best practices and techniques.
Responsibilities:
  • In the capacity of Sr. Analyst, AML Model Developer, my key expectations for this role involve the following:
  • Collaborate with the AML and Model Risk Management teams to cultivate and utilize efficient systems and processes for the development, validation, and maintenance of financial crime models.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to produce comprehensive model documentation, which includes validation reports, assumptions, limitations, and compliance metrics.
  • Monitor model health using statistical analysis and timely remediation of concerns.
  • Conduct data inquiries using SQL, SAS, Python, and ETL methodologies to analyze and report trends, issues, and findings derived from our systems.
  • Develop reporting solutions by designing stored procedures, view queries, and tables.
  • Participate in creating and maintaining model risk policies, guidelines, validations, and procedural controls, as well as supporting independent auditing efforts.
  • Conduct analytical research for the Compliance Department, with a strong focus on AML/BSA and develop information-driven business solutions.
  • Assist senior staff and management as necessary and perform additional duties as assigned.
