Position Snapshot:

As a Production Assembly Technician in our Final Assembly, Locomotive unit, you’ll participate in a lively production atmosphere, assembling essential components for world-class rail vehicles!

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Build and assemble locomotive components such as roofs, cable harnesses, and more.
  • Complete electrical connections—both high and low voltage—inside and out.
  • Implement piping solutions using copper and stainless-steel components.
  • Install windshield components for locomotives.
  • Perform disassembly and modification work where needed.
  • Utilize a wide range of tools, processes, and operations skills.
  • Interpret blueprints, measure parts, and follow comprehensive instructions.

Requirements for Success:

  • High school diploma or GED minimum requirement.
  • At least one year of experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills demonstrated through past work.
  • Ability to read and work from blueprints and schematics essential.
  • Experience with various electrical systems is an asset:
    • Automobile/engine repairs
    • Electrical installations
    • Alarm system maintenance
    • Working as a lineman
  • Experience in plumbing, HVAC systems, and air line management.
  • Skillful with hand tools, powered instruments, and pneumatic systems.

Located in the vibrant city of Sacramento, CA, this role offers a competitive base wage of $20.00 per hour with a 10% differential for second shift workers. Compensation adjusts based on experience and qualifications.
