Job Description

This position is a night-time cleaning role covering various property sites as needed. The Champ position will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of assigned facilities according to Moreno and client specifications.

The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dusting desks, chairs, counters, blinds, and furniture.
  • Clean the lobby, reception, or any other assigned areas by your supervisor.
  • Dusting.
  • Vacuuming.
  • Spot cleaning.
  • Refilling supplies and dispensers.
  • Empty wastebaskets and recycling bins.
  • Spot mop floors as necessary.
  • Wipe down tables and chairs.
  • Assist for special projects and perform duties as directed by your supervisor.
  • Clean using appropriate methods, equipment, and chemicals by following our established processes and procedures.
  • Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position
  • Follow company health and safety rules and wear protective equipment when and where applicable.
  • Follow all established company policies, protocols, and guidelines.
  • Cleaning labs and cleanrooms according to SOP Manuals (if applicable)

Site Coverage:

  • Covering for PTO, sick calls, and additional cleaning needs
  • Working days: Sunday-Thursday (Sunday 7AM to 3:30pm and Monday-Thursday 6:00 PM to 2:30 AM)

Training and Supervision:

  • Training from the Operations Manager and site Supervisor at the property
  • Complete on-site training following the Moreno's Custodial Training Manual
  • Follow site-specific cleaning specifications
  • Use an electronic timekeeping system to clock in and out

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of standard janitorial duties, cleaning techniques, products, and equipment preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as but not limited to safety data sheets (SDS), operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc.
  • Must understand and carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) is highly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires consistent attendance and physical presence at the job.
  • Occasionally requires the ability to move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.
  • Lift up to 25 pounds unassisted.
  • Requires extensive use of hands (ability to reach over, bend and extend hands).
  • Requires extensive body mobility: reach above and below shoulder height, constant walking, standing in one place for long periods, bending, stooping, extending, lifting, kneeling, etc. 
  • Use of cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, mop buckets, and appropriate chemicals as provided by Moreno.
  • Work in varying temperature environments (internal and external buildings).

  • Use logic and reasoning to identify and solve problems
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.

Scheduling and Communication:

  • Keep track of a shared schedule
  • Monitor schedule updates and oversight from the Operations Manager and Supervisors
  • Communicate effectively with Supervisors and other team members regarding cleaning needs and priorities

Compensation:

  • $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
  • Reimbursement for gas if using a personal vehicle for work purposes

Additional Considerations:

  • Account Closure by Supervisor: Supervisors will be responsible for closing out cleaning accounts at assigned locations.
  • Software Implementation: Potential for future implementation of software for scheduling, task management, and communication.
