Amazon Robotics is located in the greater Boston area, the epicenter of robotics innovation. Current advancements are underway in autonomous movement and mobility, artificial intelligence and machine learning, manipulation, simulation, robotic management software, predictive analytics, and much more. We are seeking a talented and motivated Manufacturing Test Development Engineer with a proven track record of implementing best in class test techniques and processes within a complex manufacturing environment. This individual will primarily focus on manufacturing test development & support for manipulation applications which leverage Robotic Arms such as Fanuc, ABB, custom End-of-Arm tools and power distribution systems. You will work closely with engineering, production, test engineers, and external vendors to deliver and work with the highest quality products.
Key job responsibilities
- Actively foster and drive culture of inclusion
- Develop or implement manufacturing test strategies and solutions for robotic manipulation applications.
- Design and implement automated test solutions, including hardware interfaces and software
- Collaborate with product teams to improve product testability and manufacturability
- Develop test programs using standard software tools (LabVIEW/TestStand, Python)
- Review and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
- Support EOL test stations at contract manufacturers
- Persistently promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
- Up to 25% travel required, including international travel

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- BS in Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of manufacturing test engineering experience
- Experience with industrial robotics (Fanuc, ABB), PLCs and safety systems
- Programming proficiency in LabVIEW/TestStand/Python
- Demonstrated expertise in test strategy development, defining test requirements, and implement manufacturing test solutions to support NPI programs
- Knowledge of power systems and electrical controls
- Ability to read and debug electrical schematics
