Job Description

Our Non-profit client in Malvern, Pa. is looking for a dynamic Head of HR to join their team. This position offers a Hybrid work environment, salary up to 170k with bonus and excellent benefits.

Summary:

The Head of Human Resources is a key member of the executive leadership team, serving as a strategic advisor to the CEO and organization on all people-related matters. This role is responsible for shaping and executing a comprehensive People strategy that supports the mission, values, and growth of the organization. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in HR leadership, a passion for talent development, and a commitment to fostering a value driven and high-performing culture.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team on organizational design, talent strategy, and workforce planning.
  • Lead the development and execution of HR strategies and team aligned with the organization’s mission and long-term goals.
  • Partner with the Board and CEO on succession planning, executive compensation, and governance matters.

Talent Management & Organizational Development

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Design and implement leadership development, performance management, and employee engagement programs.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning, feedback, and professional growth.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Lead all HR functions including employee relations, benefits administration, compensation, and HRIS management.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and nonprofit-specific regulations.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures that reflect best practices and legal requirements.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB)

  • Drive DEIB initiatives across the organization, embedding inclusive practices into hiring, development, and culture.
  • Monitor and report on DEIB metrics and progress to leadership and the Board.

Culture & Internal Communications

  • Foster a values-driven, mission-aligned culture that supports collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Lead internal communications strategies that promote transparency, trust, and employee engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior HR role within a financial service, nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
  • Proven experience advising CEOs and Boards on strategic HR matters.
  • Deep knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and nonprofit governance preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills with a collaborative leadership style.
