**Job Title: Field Service Technician | $30-35+HR** **Per Diem PLUS Overtime & Base Pay!** **100% Travel** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to install, commission, and maintain our conveyor systems on-site. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical and electrical installation, strong problem-solving skills, and a proven track record in installing conveyor equipment. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all on-site installations are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the client. **Responsibilities** + Respond to service calls within 6 hours of initial call. + Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and be available for service calls within the geographic region. + Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. + Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the installation and maintenance of conveyor systems. + Communicate project status, risks, and issues to the project manager and internal teams. + Collaborate with other departments such as engineering, sales, and customer service to ensure project success. + Maintain accurate project documentation and reports. + Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. **Essential Skills** + Field service experience + Electrical and PLC troubleshooting + Installation and decommissioning skills + Experience with electrical systems and conveyor systems + PLC knowledge + Understanding of mechanical and electrical aspects of conveyor systems or industrial equipment + Experience traveling 100% + Knowledge of pneumatics, repair, mechanical electrical, and automation + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics + Strong problem-solving and analytical skills + Ability to work independently and in a team environment + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills + Willingness to travel to client sites frequently + Physical ability to work in a field installation environment, including the ability to lift and carry heavy equipment **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalent required, technical degree preferred + 3+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical installation, specifically within the conveyor industry + Experience with basic hand and power tools + Proficiency with Microsoft Office products + Technical ability to use a mobile device such as a smartphone, tablet, or laptop computer + Fluency in reading and writing English; understanding of Spanish is a plus **Why Work Here?** Join a family-owned company with a history of over 100 years, known for investing and caring about their employees. You will be exposed to moving mechanical parts and will work at Amazon facilities, adhering to their EH&S requirements. The role requires physical activity, including standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs. The use of multi-hand and power tools associated with conveyor installation is essential, as well as the ability to climb ladders and operate a forklift and scissor lift. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
