**Entry-Level Substation Drafter** Location **Ft Worth** Secondary Locations Job Code **18920** \# of openings **1** Apply Now ( **Entry-Level Substation Drafter** **Job Summary** POWER Engineers, Member of WSP is currently seeking an Entry-Level Substation Drafter to work in the Power Delivery Substation Department of our Fort Worth, Texas office. Flexibility is available for a hybrid work environment (candidate will need to live within a commutable distance of the office). **Responsibilities** + The position entails drafting and design opportunities on substation projects that include physical and civil layout drawings as well as schematics and wiring diagrams. + The successful candidate will be responsible for learning, understanding, and implementing CAD knowledge; learning client standards, practices, and procedures to ensure that work produced conforms to the client's standards and expectations; being responsible for knowing and following POWER's standards, procedures, and processes; collaborating on design issues; and seeking guidance from those with more experience. **Required Education/Experience** + Associates/technical degree in an accredited drafting program, or sufficient industry experience + AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience + Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with other team members + Legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship **Desired Education/Experience** + Drafting experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, preferably in an engineering work environment + Experience with a 3D CAD system + Knowledge of substation electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, and/or substation physical/civil drawings + Experience working with scaled drawings + Working knowledge of survey coordinate systems a plus + Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel + Experience with File Management Systems a plus + Strong background in mathematics + Reliable, detail-oriented self-starter who takes ownership of assigned tasks POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, is a global consulting environmental and engineering firm and one of the top design firms in the energy sector.
