Requirements to apply:
**Bachelor degree or above in Economics or relevant subject
**Teaching qualification such as PGCE/QTS
**Min of two years teaching experience, strong NQT will also be considered
**Native English speaker
**A Level experience is desirable

The school is a rapidly developing Secondary School in Shanghai which follows the English IGCSE and A Level curriculum and prepares Chinese high school students for universities in the west. Despite being only 9 years old, the school has already proven themselves as one of the top A Level schools in Shanghai.

The school campus is located within the university area and surrounded by all well-known universities in the city. It also has security gate and guards at the entrance, only students or anyone with permit will be allowed to enter. It provides students an excellent, quiet and safe learning environment.

Duties and responsibilities:
**Teachers should have general lesson plan for all lessons. The plan should include lesson objectives, teaching methodology and homework details
**Teachers are required to prepare general semester plan of teaching based on the Semester Plan Template at the beginning of term including lab work schedule when appropriate
**Teachers should use the course book adopted by the school for each course and to supplement with any suitable resource material when necessary
**Teachers should teach strictly according to CIE syllabus for each subject
**Teachers must become familiar with the programs and courses of study used at the school to ensure the teaching quality
**Teachers must follow the set timetables for classes. Personal arrangements for replacements and switching classes are not allowed without management's consent
**Teachers should provide useful suggestions to students regarding their university entry requirements and give recommendation letters when is needed
**Teachers are expected to give homework, progress and level tests throughout the term and to correct the homework and to mark such tests as part of their duties

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:

Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)

Must be a native speaker of English

Prefer candidates with international experience

Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted

Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted

Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:

A salary from 18,000 up to 27,000  CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi)per month based on experience and qualification, 10-25 % Tax is applied

Housing:

Housing allowance of 7,000RMB  CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) provided

Medical:

State/Public medical provided

Flights:

8,000RMB  CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) Allowance is provided

Bereavement Leave:

Bereavement leave given

Emergency Evacuation:

Emergency evacuation given

Contract Length:

2 years contract renewable on mutual agreement
