We are seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Attorney to join our Georgia Bankruptcy Department. This role requires admission to practice in Georgia State, Federal, and Bankruptcy courts (with CM/ECF filing credentials). The attorney will manage and oversee bankruptcy matters, including plan confirmation, motions for relief, contested matters, adversary proceedings, and related legal issues. The position may involve travel to courts across Georgia.
Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent creditors in all aspects of bankruptcy proceedings.
Review statutory notices, correspondence, pleadings, and legal documents.
Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
Prepare and respond to written inquiries and disputes promptly.
Attend and argue motions, hearings, and participate in mediation.
Provide strategic legal counsel to clients during the bankruptcy process.
Collaborate with support staff to ensure timely and accurate case management.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
Admission to the Georgia State, Federal, and Bankruptcy bars with CM/ECF filing credentials.
Minimum 2 years of experience representing creditors in bankruptcy/insolvency matters.
Strong understanding of secured creditor issues.
Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Experience working with senior management and in a team-oriented environment.
Familiarity with the financial services and real estate industries.
